My name is Kam Yip. I am from Canton, China. I speak Cantonese and a little English. I came to America in 1997 and have been here for almost 10 years.
I am married but don't have children yet. I have a part time job. The workplace is far from my home and I have to take bus to work.
I live in Chinatown, New York City. My building is near F train East Broadway station. It is a big building with many apartments. Most of the tenants are Chinese.
In New York City, everything is expensive. I have to work hard to pay all the bills. But without good English, it is very hard to find a good job. So I am taking an ESL class to study English. I need to improve my English so that I can get a better job.
